How to Install macOS Big Sur on Windows using VirtualBox

If you're a fan of Apple's operating system and want to run it on your Windows machine without dual-booting, then installing macOS Big Sur on VirtualBox is the way to go. In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the steps to set up a virtual machine and install macOS Big Sur on your Windows PC.

Step 1: Create a New Virtual Machine in VirtualBox

To start, open VirtualBox and click on 'New' to create a new virtual machine. On the next screen that appears, click on Continue again. Then select 'Install MacOS Big Sur' option from the list of operating systems.

Step 2: Erase the Hard Disc

Click on Disk Utility from the menu and then click on the Quit Disk Utility option. Once the hard disc is erased, click on the Done button.

Step 3: Name the Hard Disc and Configure Settings

Now name the hard disc as 'Mac OS Big Sur' and click on the Erase button. Then select VBOX HARDDISK Media in the left pane and click on the Erase option.

Step 4: Set Extra Data for the Virtual Machine

To enable some important features, you'll need to set extra data for the virtual machine. Run the following commands in Command Prompt:

Step 5: Install macOS Big Sur

Now close VirtualBox and open Command Prompt as an administrator. Select the ISO file in File Explorer and click on the Open button. Click on the Optical disk icon on the right sidebar and select Create a Virtual Optical Disk in the drop-down menu.
